I really LOVE chew toys! They are just sooo much fun!
Especially when the chew toy is Samuel. I hope my Hollymom doesn't mind that I'm chewing on him instead of her.

Freak(y) Friday
I know I am repeating myself here, but droopy (aka Samuel) really IS a freak!
Seriously! You would never see ME acting like that! My title would never permit such behavior.

Wordless Wednesday
This is Kona at the time he was diagnosed with Addison's disease back in April.

But, now, he is finally beginning to look more like himself - a fluffy Samoyed!

He has been on treatments for his Addison's since April, and we can see what a huge difference it is making for him. His fur is growing back, he has more energy, and is definitely feeling more like the "old" Kona! We are all very happy that he is doing so much better, and beginning to look more like himself. Hopefully, by winter, his fur will be even thicker and longer, like it should be. At least he doesn't have to wear the silly jammies any more!
We are all very happy for Kona!!

Twins?
On Friday I was reading my good friends Cybersibes blog, and this picture of Jack really made me stop and think.
I thought, "Wow! That face sure looks familiar". What do you think?
Did someone separate them at birth, and forget to tell their pawrents? Cuz, they sure look like they could be twins to me!!
Well, you know what they say about everyone having a twin somewhere! I guess Khady's is in Rhode Island.

The Accused
Hey every buddy, Khady Lynn here! Ya know, sometimes being "the baby" has it's disadvantages.
Whenever something "happens" around here that the humans feel is "naughty" they always seem to look at ME!For instance, I submit the following.....
Don't you like how mom just "assumed" it was me? I mean, even though nothing like this has ever happened before, and I was just sitting there looking completely innocent, she still accused ME!!! Wait a minute!! What about my rights?? Aren't there laws against this sort of "judgement" without proof beyond a reasonable doubt?
This same sort of instance of TP'ing the house, happened a few more times and so mom and dad started closing the bathroom door whenever they weren't able to keep an eye on me. I always got that accusatory "Khaaadddyyyy?" as if they were asking me why I was stringing toilet paper throughout the house.
And then........last night.......
Uh huh, she's feelin' bad now!! I got lots of apology smooches after that! What mom can't figure out is why, out of the blue, Samuel started Tp'ing the house? This has never happened before. EVER! He's 11!!!!
But, then again, he is weird. Obviously.
Anyway, so, there you have it. You cannot always assume the puppy is the one doing all the "naughty" stuff. You must have proof! That's the law. Innocent until proven guilty!
Now, I'm going back to my cool air vent with the view for a nap. I have been exonerated.
BTW, the snooter pic on Wordless Wednesday wasn't me. It's Samuel!!! AKA the Toilet Paper Bandit!! Hawoowoowoo!!!

A Cool View
Hey every buddy, Khady Lynn here! Mom is home after a successful trip to Kholwoorado with Kelsey and his mom. Everything went great! You can catch up by checking Kelsey's blog here. We were all very happy to have mom home. We all snoofed her over really well!
Anyway, I just wanted to share with all of you, that not only do I have the most pawsome view of my back yard where I can watch the birds, squirrels, and Esther the bunny (and her babies), it's also the "coolest" spot in the house!!
See for yourself!

I am not a stupid puppy. I think Queen Meeshka would be quite proud of me!

Road Trip?
Mom started packing all kinds of stuff tonight, and I wondered why. Then, she told us she was going on a road trip to Colorado to the CSU Animal Cancer Center to help our friend Kelsey.
He needs some tests and an Khat Scan to see if his tumor can be removed, and if he can get radiation to shrink anything that can't be removed. All of us here are crossing our paws that everything goes as planned, and that Kelsey can beat this horrible disease.
So, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He still has a long way to go. And, the hardest part will be for his mom to leav him there for 3-4 weeks while they do the radiation. We just hope it works! Luckily, they have foster homes that he can go to so he won't be all alone, stuck in a kennel the entire time. I think that's really khool!
Mom said she will check in with us so we can be sure to keep you all updated. His first appointment is Friday morning and the Khat Scan later in the day. I hope it's a nice khat!

New Bag
Hey every buddy! Khady Lynn here. Hope you all had a great weekend!
Mom recently got a new purse. She said it's called a Z Bag, and I was the first to get to check it out! Take a look.
Mom finally told me that the interesting smell I was snoofering was Dave, of the Ao4! He's Holly's boyfriend and very handsome! Apparently, he helped his mom make the bag. My mom said she heard Dave worked really hard to help since he knew the bag was for "his" Holly's mom! How sweet is that?
If you would like to see more pictures, please check out the Bags by KZK blog. These are the most original, handmade and beautiful bags you will ever find, ANYWHERE!!
Mom said to say a huge "THANK WOO" to Miss KZK for all her hard work, and to Dave, for helping pick out such beautiful colors and fabrics. Mom totally LOVES her new Z Bag!!
Till next time...

Flesondi
We have a winner!!!!
The winning word is FLESONDI. And, my very good friends, Phantom and Thunder, of the OP Pack were the lucky pups to have gotten such an interesting word. They thought it might be a new word which actually means "fleas on di dog." Hawoowoowoo!!!
Congratulations OP Pack!! Your very special "Holly's Potato Flour Dog Cookies" from our most favorite Happy Hearts Dog Cookies will be on their way!
On a side note, my very good buddy, Kelsey (mom's first rescue/foster pup) needs some pawsitive vibes. He has a suspicious lump that is being biopsied and his mom (my mom's bestest friend) is very worried for her boy. So, if you could all stop over and wish him well, I would greatly appreciate it, as would Kelsey's mom. There's nothing quite like this community of friends when it comes to supporting each other. It's the best in the world!
Thank you to everyone who played my "Word Up" game, and who voted. It was so much fun, I might have to do it again some time!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Words
Hey everyone! Thanks for playing my "Word Up" game! Looks like there were some pretty interesting "words" you all received.
I put the poll up on my sidebar, so please choose your favorite "word." The poll closes at midnight on July 22nd. The "word" that gets the most votes will win some of my Happy Hearts cookies! And, when I say they are mine, I mean they not only belong to me, but they are NAMED after me too!!
Be sure to check out the Happy Hearts link in this post, or the link on my sidebar! These are "Holly Potato Flour Dog Cookies," and were first made especially for us because of all our allergy problems. You see, a couple pups here have allergies to most "usual" ingredients in dog cookies found in stores - wheat, rice, corn, soy, oat, barley, etc., so we could not have any of them. But because of our wonderful friends at Happy Hearts Dog Cookies, we CAN have cookies! They are healthy, and taste fabulous!!! Even humans like them!
So, start voting, and good luck to all the participants!

Word Up!
Well, as most of you know, a large majority of our blogs out there have the "word verification" security portion where you sign in for the comments that you make to others blogs.
Well, sometimes they are just stupid and make no sense at all, sometimes they are "almost" like words, but not really, and sometimes they are just plain funny.
Anyway, I thought I would take a poll of what everyone's "word verification" word was, and give a small award (like some Happy Hearts cookies) to the winner of the best/strangest/funniest word. Voting will be done by all my readers at my next post, where I will list all the words you got when making a comment to this post. NO CHEATING, or you could be skhwished!
So, as you make a comment to this post, be sure to include the "word verification" security word you were asked to type in as part of your message. Once I collect them all, I will hold an open voting for everyone to choose the best one. Then, I will just need the winners address, and I will send them some of my very own Holly's brand of HH cookies!!! (allergy free cookies made with potato flour instead wheat/rice flour). So, tell all your friends to come play!! This should be quite interesting and fun!
Besides, you should be impressed I'm giving up cookies. After all, they're MY Cookies!!!

Skhwishing
Sometimes, I just need to remind the turd baby of my authority by giving her a "minor" skhwishing. You know, just to keep her "in line."
Imagine what I could do if I did a "major" skhwishing!
I'm just sayin'.

Nemesis
A few days ago I told you about my nemesis, Esther's, babies. She had them in the flower garden in our front yard. Mom accidentally found them, but I knew they were out there way before she did!
Anyway, Esther has been teasing and taunting me for a long time! She sits in the neighbor's yard, and ignores me. Can you believe that? I yell and yell at her, but she acts like I'm not even there! She does this to me both day and night!!
Mom even caught her teasing me one day. Check it out.

Can you believe she ignores me like that? I mean, she should be running away as fast as possible whenever she sees me and I start yelling at her.
Only thing I can come up with is that she has very bad eyesight. And, is deaf.

What's Outside
I thought I should get back to everyone about what I was looking for out the window.
This might give you an idea.

Can you tell what it is? How about now?

Or maybe here?

If you look real close, you can see some brown fur!
Ok, if you give up, I'll tell you. It's baby bunnies!!! Yep, we had a nest of adorable baby bunnies, compliments of my nemesis Esther.
Esther likes to hang out in our neighbors yard, really close to my fence, and ignore me when I yell at her. Can you believe that? She is NOT afraid of me! She would just go about her business and totally ignore me! Mom has some video of me yelling at her, that I will post later, but I wanted to let you all know that I KNEW there was something out there, and now you know what it was too!
All Esther's babies are gone now. I think they have moved away. Oh well. I'm sure Esther will stick around to continue to taunt me.
Khady Lynn
PeeEss: I did get my first "kill" this past weekend. A baby bird fell out of the sky, right into my mouth! Unfortunately, mom took it away from me and tossed it over the fence. I was not very happy about that.

Very Sad Woo's
With deep sadness, we are wooing for our friend Dakota of the OP Pack.

Dakota went to the Rainbow Bridge today. Mom's eyes keep leaking for Dakota's mom and dad, and her Sibelings, Phantom and Thunder. You can read her story at this link.
Run fast and pain free beautiful Dakota. Wear your Silver Harness with pride. I'm sure you will be welcomed with lots of tail wags and play bows. Godspeed sweet girl.
Your friends,
Holly, Khady Lynn, and their mom Jan
