To My Darling Dave

It appears I have confused and hurt my darling Dave. I'm afraid he thinks I have thrown him over the the handsome Summit the Super Mal.

Let me just say that such a thing would NEVER happen!! Dave is my true love! It was love at first sight when I saw those beautiful blue eyes, and that oh-so-cute pickle nose! *huge sigh*

How could I NOT love that face!?!?!!!

So my darling Davie, I will forever be your Malagal, and you do not have to worry about me choosing any other doggie, Mal or Sibe, over you! Summit will be my good friend, but my heart will always be yours and yours alone!

Hoping one day this can be a REAL photo......

What a GREAT Day!

Wow, did I have a great day! Want to know why? I bet you do!
My mom and Kelsey's mom had to take a doggie down to Hearts United for Animals because his family did not want him any longer because he had some "issues". Anyway, before mom left, she got a phone call. And guess who it was? It was Summit the Super Mal's mom!!! She was coming to our neck of the woods for a visit with some family, and wanted to know if I would like to meet Summit! Well, DUH! Of course I would!!!

So, after we dropped off the doggie at HUA, we met up with Summit and his humans. Here are some wonderful pictures of us together.

Hello Summit! Nice to meet you!

What do you think of my pretty tummy?

Wonder what's in this clump of grass?

Hey Summitt, lets PLAY!!!

Finally a doggie close to my size!

Oh Summit, you are such a handsome and sweet boy!

Here we are walking happily along the trail on such a be-woo-tiful day!

Oohhh, look what I found on ground? Can you see what it is?

It's a Khaterpillar! He curled up in a ball cuz he was afraid of me. Don't worry little Khaterpillar, I won't eat you!

So was I right? Was it a great day or WHAT?!?!!! I got to meet Summit the SUPER Mal!! I'm trying to woo him into starting a blog! His human is being reluctant. So, I need all the MindMeld help I can get from all my doggie friends! You can visit Summit's Dogster page here and send him some comments to help convince him to begin blogging!

Thanks for visiting with me Summit!! I sure had a great day, and hope you did too!

I only hope I haven't made a certain Khute Khanine girl out in PA jealous!!

Big Part 2

Since I like to try and explain how "big" I am, and the human woman likes taking pictures to prove it, I thought I would post another example.

Here are a couple pics of my paw next to mom's hand.

I wonder if her feet are similar in size to mine too. I know her butt sure is bigger.

8 Random Facts

I have been tagged by my newest friend, and fellow Alaskan Malamute, Codie. She is sooo pretty! Please check out her blog. It has taken me a while to get to this, because I have been outside enjoying the nice 50 and 60 degree weather. It's finally getting to be MY kind of weather, so I am a bit lazy when it comes to my blog now.

Anyway, she tagged me to tell 8 random facts about myself, so here goes;

1. I'm pretty quiet. I only woo if I am REALLY excited, otherwise, I never bark or make any noise.

2. Although I hate to admit it, I like being brushed by the Furminator. It really makes my skin feel so much better to get rid of all that old fluff so I can look pretty.

3. It is required that I get to clean Abby's bowl once mom is done spoon feeding her canned food to her. I make sure I lay on the floor right beside them so mom doesn't forget and give it to that shark Samuel (who is always circling around mom......watching).

4. I pass gas, a lot. And loudly. But, at least it's not too stinky. It's not my fault! I do it because of all the pumpkin and green beans mom feeds me. (stupid diet)

5. When I come in the doggie door, I run really fast, (as if my butt is on fire), through the kitchen to the front living room, and then lay down on the floor.

6. My left hind leg is about an inch and a half shorter than my right hind leg. When mom first got me she thought there was something wrong with it, so she had the vet x-ray it. Turns out it had been broken at some point when I was younger, and had been wired back together. Apparently the wire kept my bone from growing to the same length as my right leg. Therefore, I walk with a limp.

7. I also have something called Cardiomegaly. Which is basically an enlarged heart. My vet isn't sure why I have it, but it may have been caused by my starving and dehydrated condition when mom and dad found me. It doesn't bother me, but I do have to be checked yearly to make sure I don't develop an arrhythmia. I'm not allowed to "over-do it" on my exercise either.

8. Mom gives us all Barlean's Organic Flaxseed Oil to keep our fur soft and shiny. That's another reason I look so fluffy and pretty!

Now, here are the rules;
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. List eight (8) random facts about yourself.
3. Tag eight dogs at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

I'm a little behind on this posting, so I would like to tag ALL my doggie friends who have not done this. It's a lot of fun to share things with each other! So please feel free to tag yourselves, and play along!

Dogster

Ok, after some of my doggie friends said they couldn't believe I didn't have a Dogster page, my lazy human woman has finally gotten me one.

It is still a work in progress, but at least it's started. You can check it out here.

Waiting......

Now that the heat has finally been turned off, and it is getting cooler, I'm ready for the white stuff.

So, I'll be waiting patiently. And dreaming of the first snowfall.......

Big!

As I have stated in many previous posts, I'm a very big girl. Dad says I'm fat. Mom is nice and corrects him by saying I am big boned and "fluffy".

To give you all a better perspective of the size of a 122 pound Malagal, here are a couple pictures of me and Abby lying beside each other. Abby weighs 74 pounds and is 3/4 Siberian and 1/4 wolf.

Any questions?

Helping the Humans

My good friends Tasha and Eva have tagged me to tell three things I like to help the humans with.

1. I love to help my humans get their exercise, especially dad. We all actually pitch in to make sure dad stays fit. We make dad take us for walks every morning when he gets home from work. We try to work out mom on the weekends, but that doesn't always work. Especially when it's hot. Mom hates the hot weather just like I do.

2. It's my job to keep order in the house. The humans are terrible at keeping us in line, so I help them make sure all the dogs know what they can and can't do. After all, it's MY house.

3. I especially like to help my mom spend her money. I help her spend money on doggie meds, supplements, green beans, pumpkin, treats, and lots of food . I also like to steal the human woman's plastic and use it to donate to doggie rescue groups like MaPaw, Tails of the Tundra, and Harnessed to Hope (just to name a few).

Well my friends, those are three things I like to help my humans do. What do you like to help your humans do? You can all feel free to tag yourselves to tell how helpful you are!! I hate picking just a few when I have so many friends!

Another Dog Show

Well, the mean human woman and man went to another dog show and didn't take me with then! And, do you know the worst part of it? They got to meet Captain Maverick the Pirate!!!

Mom got all these cool pictures of Maverick, Penny and Eddie and even brought me some of Mavericks fur! Then she just kept ruuuubbing it in how she got to see them and pet them! She kept going on and on about how sweet and pretty Penny is, how adorable and cute Eddie is, and how absolutely handsome and wonderful it was to finally meet the famous pirate!! I've decided she's mean and hateful for leaving me at home two weeks in a row, while she got to go see the D'Azul Sibes and their humans. You see, the previous weekend she went to Fremont NE, to see Penny, and Eddie, and even got to HOLD Eddie's leash while his mom was showing Penny. So, for two weeks in a row she got to see them, and didn't take me either time! I am absolutely heartbroken over all this!

Even though I am very upset with my mean human woman, I will go ahead and share the great photo's mom took because I'M nice!

This is Penny, isn't she be-woo-tiful!?!

Here is Eddie, he is such a cutie!

And here he is, the famous Captain Maverick the Pirate! Isn't he handsome!?!

Mom even got pictures of the two Malamutes that were there. Aren't they handsome too?

The one on the right looks like he has eyebrows drawn on! He is quite unique looking. But no where near as pretty as me!

I'm still ticked at mom for not taking me along. She keeps trying to explain to me that non-show dogs aren't allowed. I think she is just making excuses cuz she's selfish, and doesn't want me to meet my own friends! Hrumpf!

Interviews

Happy weekend every dog and Girl Girl!! My weekend is starting out pretty good. Well, except for where mom went this morning and DIDN'T take me, but I'll get to that tomorrow.

Today, I want to share with you my interview questions. I was lucky enough to be interviewed by two extremely handsome Siberians. Turbo and Zim.

First I will answer Tubey's questions.

1. Why are humans so stupid?
Excellent beginning question Tubey. I think the most obvious reason is because they aren't dogs. Their brains are so overloaded with work, TV watching, personal issues, stress, and other stupid humans, that they have just fried all their brain cells. I think their intelligence left them at about the same time they stood upright and lost their fur.

2. How has your minority status as the only Malamute on DWB helped you?
It simply proves how truly special and unique I am.

3. What was your greatest destruction success?
I don't destroy my stuffies, because I love them. And, I'm really not a destructive dog. I leave that sort of thing up to Samuel. So, the only thing I can successfully say I have destroyed, is the local wildlife. So far I have "destroyed" a few birds, a rabbit and a baby squirrel.

4. Have you ever husked corn?
Actually, yes. When mom and dad found me I was in a corn field, doing some husking for food. Mom couldn't believe all the corn I poo'd out when I first came to live with them. Thankfully, I don't have to eat that any more and mom doesn't allow ANY grains in our food.

5. What's your favorite treat?
Since there are so many allergy issues here, we get a great treat called Baa-Baa-Q's. Mom gets them at Petsmart. They are made from lamb lung, and very tasty!

Thank you Tubey! Those were all great questions!

And now, my interview questions from Zim.

1. Have you ever considered sharing your blog with your bee-roo-tiful sister Abby and your brothers?
Ummm, no. This is my blog and I am the only one allowed to have an opinion. Well, except for Samuel, who never shuts up so there's no choice but to listen to him. They're lucky I even blog about the things they do. Besides, if you remember my Alaskan Malamute Property Laws, everything is MINE! I don't share well.

2. When you go for walks, do you all go at once?
No, we usually have to go in shifts.

3. If not, just to follow up here, is there a normal "pairing"? Or, do you change partners?
In the mornings when dad takes us by himself, it goes like this: Me and Monty first, you've seen the video as to why; Samuel goes second by himself; then Abby and Kona, the slow ones, go last. If mom and dad go together, dad always leaves first with me and Monty, and then about 5 minutes later mom leaves with Samuel. This helps mom so that Sam won't pull her at 50 miles an hour trying to catch up with me and Monty, so he can be in front (he has issues with wanting to be in the lead all the time). Then mom takes Abby and Dad takes Kona and they walk the slow-pokes together cuz they don't pull.

4. If a bi-ped threw a toy, would you go get it and bring it back?
Absolutely! I will go get it, and then jump on my couch with it.
Oh, you mean bring it back to the human??? Not seeing that happen. Refer to the last sentence in my answer to your question 1.

5. If you met Dave in real life, would you kick his butt?
Wow, that's a tough one. As long as mom is there with me and keeps me "in line", I think I would do fine, once we had a chance to slowly check each other out. I don't like other dogs right in my face, so as long as he didn't come up and try to kiss me right off, I think I would be ok. (I'm not that kind of girl!)

Wow, thanks for the great interview Zimmie! I think you and Tubey did a great job of coming up with such interesting questions!

Now, here is the fun part, I can interview some of you too! If you want me to interview you, here's what you need to do:

1. If you are interested in being interviewed, leave me a comment saying, 'interview me.'
2. I will respond by posting five questions for you. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

So, who wants to be interviewed by the prettiest Malagal ever?!?

Mini Moose Video

Well, here it is, the video of me playing with my new Mini Moose. Dad is filming it and if you notice, he isn't being very nice. He keeps trying to take it away from me! That stupid Monty the Monster keeps barking cuz he wants it. When he does finally get it, then he doesn't want to give it back to dad. Dad is very lucky that I'm so nice (and forgiving), especially since he says he was just "playing" with me. NOT!

Here, you be the judge........

So, what do you think? Play, or Holly abuse?
