Food Challenge!!
I'm talking about helping feed rescued pets. And, you may ask, how can YOU help feed these pets? By clicking the badge below.
My friend Izzie has put out a challenge to all her friends and readers. That challenge, is to post the badge on their blog for one day, explaining that by doing so, it will help feed rescued animals. Then, each person or doggie, is asked to click on the link once every day for a whole week! I plan on clicking on it everyday, from now on, but her challenge is for us all to click on it for at least a week! Think of all the food we could help provide for the animals! You can get the code for the badge HERE, and post it on your blog.
Then, be sure to go visit Izzie's blog and leave her a comment, letting her know you are part of the challenge to feed rescued pets.
So, all my friends, are YOU up for the challenge?

Final Video Installment
Yep, we sure did have fun!! But, since this play session was after all our walking, and digging, and hole investigating, we got tired pretty quickly! I can't wait for us to get together again soon!
On a side note, my wonderful friend Summi was just diagnosed with bilateral cataracts. He was acting a little "off" according to his mom, so she had him checked out. He's only 17 months old, so that is way to young to be getting cats in his eyes. Like my friend Khyra always says, "Khats are evil!" Now I know why she says that. All that cat hair in your eyes would make it hard to see.
So, if you could, please send some good vibes to my most special friend Summi, and his mummi too. I think she needs some cheering up, and since I'm not there, maybe some well wishes from all our doggie friends, will help. Even if just a little.
We all love you Summi!!! Especially me, your MalaSis! (Oh yeah, and Khyra too)

Summit's Sibelings
Hi Summi's Sibelings! Wow, are you both SMALL!
This is Kahyne and Echo. The wubba wubba tootsie roll on the far right yelling at me is Kiana. I don't think she liked me much. She yelled at me a LOT. Mom absolutely LOVES her cuz she is soooo cute and adorable and.............round.
I think Kahyne wants to play with me.
Summi's dad talking to Kahyne and Echo. I think Kahyne is trying to tell him something.

Wonder if that is how my Dave got his bananas off the top of the fridge. I'm thinkin'..... Yep!
Stay tuned, more to come!!

Summi Teaser
What I mean, is that I have some pictures of Summit from this past weekend when I got to visit him!! Yep, that's right...ME!!! I finally got to go with mom and dad to visit Summi, and we had a fabulous time!!! I have lots of videos, and lots of pictures. But, I don't want to show you all at once, cuz that would really ruin all the fun! And, I'm sure it's going to torture poor Khyra to wait to see all the great Summi pics!!! Wooooo.
Me, in the car on the way to Summi's house.
Can you tell who is who in these pics?

Well, that last picture of Summi has given me an idea. And, I'm sure you can all guess what it is.

Kona Update
Mom did buy some new laundry soap this week that is hypoallergenic (Arm & Hammer has one) and started to wash all the doggie blankets, and blankets that cover the couches, and bedding to see if that might help a little too. They also have to start giving him baths in a special shampoo (Keratolux). He's gonna love that!
So, it looks like he will be back to the steroids. Only positive thing about that, is he might actually feel like eating again.
I'll keep you all updated as we go along with this. I sure wish it was a more specific diagnosis. Poor guy.

My Moose Stuffie
Here is a recent video that shows me carrying around my moose.
I had to see what Abby had, just in case I wanted it. However, I realized Abby didn't have anything I wanted, so went to lay down. (Notice droopy boy laying on my other couch just looking dorky.) But, then I realized I had forgotten something, so went and picked up my moose stuffie for my nap.

I sure hope everydog and human had a good Easter and got lots of goodies in their baskets! We got rabbit jerky treats and lamb ears. They were all very yummy!
Have a wonderful week!

Kona's vet visit
The results won't be back for about a week. So, as soon as I hear anything, I will let you know. Mom and dad are REALLY hoping for an answer. There is no way any human, even the usual stoopid ones, can look at that poor dog and NOT think there is something wrong!
I promise to have new pics of me this weekend. Mom finally got the Kodak software working, so I promise new pics!!

Poor Kona
This is what Kona should look like.
However, this is how he looks now.
Unfortunately, he has had some allergy problems. We had him tested for food/environmental allergies, and have changed his diet, and even started giving him some raw food instead of canned. He has been on benadryl, chlorpheniramine, and steroid injections, and nothing seems to be working. He chews on himself until he is bleeding. He even horka'd up a hairball the size of a baseball. We even had skin scrapings done to test for mites. Mom keeps trying to cut the hair around the areas he chews on, and putting hot spot medicine on it, but he just won't stop. We recently thought that maybe he is a little OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), so put him on Xanax. It is helping a little, but the most help has come from a little invention mom thought up. Hence, the humiliation for poor Kona.
This is the only way to keep him from chewing on himself. Mom made this little outfit out of a pair of her jammie pants. Pretty nice of her to give up her favorite lounge wear for him.
He is going to the vet Wednesday morning. He will probably need to get some skin biopsies to see if there are other problems that we can't figure out. Even the vet can't figure out why he is having so many problems. So, wish him luck! I will keep you updated.

Did You Miss Me?
So, I thought I would post a funny picture of Droopy (pre-droop). More proof that he is just plain WEIRD!

Apparently, he thinks he's part khat now, and can sit on the back of the couch. Freak.

More Humiliation
He has a crusty spot on his chest where he has been licking, so mom tried to think of something that would keep him from licking it. This is what she came up with.......

Handsome bandanna? Nope. That's an old hand towel that mom tied around his neck! Mind you, the droopy ear makes him dorky looking all by itself, but once you add the towel, well, I just can't pass up the opportunity to publicise his humiliation.
But wait!!! That's not the end of the story.
He found a way to maneuver the towel and was still licking at the crusty spot, so mom, using what few brains she has, came up with a better idea.

Yep, it's the t-shirt!! Can't you tell how excited he is to be wearing it? Hey, whatever works to keep him from licking his booboo, and give me something to laugh about!
And besides, it's just further humiliation for me to share with everydog!! Bwaahaahaa!!!

Blankie
It was a beautiful blanket that had her name and a Malamute embroidered on it. Mom was so overwhelmed with it's beauty! Here, see for yourself!

Here's a close-up of the beautiful embroidery.
Sitka's mom is soooo talented!! Mom really loves this blankie, and usually has it over her lap while she is sitting in the recliner. When she isn't sitting there, Abby likes to lay on it! It is so nice and soft, and Abby likes to lay on blankies too!!
Thank you Sitka's mom, for giving mom such a beautiful present! She LOVES it!

Iowa Crew Part 2
After mom, dad, and Summi's parents got done sledding and riding the four wheelers, everyone went inside to have some furry fun!!
This is the adorable little Tootsie Roll Butter Ball, Kiana. She is such a sweetie and mom loved rubbing her voluptuous tummy!
And, here come the rest of the crew - Echo, Denali and Kaynh, with Summit waiting patiently in his crate.
Ooooo, looks like Summi's mummi is getting out the toy box for some fun stuff!

And this shot is for Khyra - it's Summi's big, fluffy butt!!!
Mom also got some great vidoe too!
They were all having a great time playing with their toys!
And here is the very talented Summit the Super Mal doing some tricks!
I hope you all enjoyed experiencing my mom and dad's visit with the Iowa Crew!! Mom loved it so much she didn't want to leave!! I sure hope they get to go back again, and this time they better take ME with them!! Or, there will definitely be some skhwishing going on when they get home!

The Iowa Crew Part 1

And now, for the good stuff!! Here are some videos of dad and Summi's dad sledding! Dad didn't get video of mom on the sled cuz the stupid battery in the camera died! That would have been good video cuz on the first try, mom took a header into the snow!!! Hawoowoowoo!! I sure wish I would have seen that! But, on the second try, she got a little more instruction from Summi's mummi, and it went great! The first video is Summi's dad and the second is my dad.
But, they not only got to go sledding, they also got to ride the four wheeler! This time, dad did get video of mom! This video is mom and Summi's mummi on the four wheeler! First them leaving, and then them coming back.
I hope you all enjoyed part one of mom and dad's trip to see my friends the Iowa Crew! Stay tuned to see part 2, which has the really GOOD stuff!
And, in the words of my friend Khyra, TTFN!! (Ta Ta For Now)

Tagged!
Here we go!
1. I eat snow whenever I can. I even will try to chew on the frozen ice on the patio.
2. I won't lay on my mattress in the basement if the blanket is rumpled up. It has to be nice and neat and spread out flat, or I will lay on the floor instead.
3. I like to carry my gorilla stuffie around like it's my puppy. I take it outside, then back inside with me all the time.
4. Sitka sent Samuel a Nubbly Squeaky Cone for Christmas, but I decided I wanted it. I don't squeak it or play with it though. I just keep it to myself, and take it outside, then back inside, etc. I'm sure to keep my eye on it like my gorilla stuffie.
5. While mom is spoon feeding Abby her dinner, I sit by them and keep an eye on the bowl, cuz I know I get to clean it when Abby is done.
6. I often stuff my face down between the pillow and the back of the couch. Mom has no idea how I can breath that way. I'm not telling.
7. My left hind leg is 1 inch shorter than my right hind leg because it was broken when I was little and the wiring around the femur kept it from growing correctly.
Now, the rules to the tag:
1. Once you are tagged, link back to the blogger who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Post 7 random or weird facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 bloggers and link to them.
5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.
I'm going to tag Abby and Rosie, Codie, Frankie and Maddie, Izzie, Thor and Lita, Sasha, and Amici.
And, since I haven't posted any pictures of my beautiful face for a while, here is one of me and my Nubbly Cone.

Huntress
We walked into the brush and trees so dad could place his newest geocache. Along the way I was sniffing and checking out what was hidden under the snow and grass. Every once in a while I would stick my snooter in the snow cuz I smelled something really good. Mom and dad thought it was "cute". Whatever!! I was simply being the supreme huntress that I am. After all, I did survive on my own for some unknown amount of time! Buuuut, then stuck my snooter in the snow and grass, and I came up with a critter in my mouth!!
A SNACK!!!! Oh my goodness, I was sooo excited!! I caught a vole!!! I was just seconds away from chewing my new found snack, when dad made me drop it!! He pulled me away from it, and I watched it crawl away, back under the long grass. I couldn't believe he didn't let me eat it!! I mean seriously, I found it, I caught it, I deserve to eat it! But nooooooooo.
Then mom was worried that it was hurt really bad and would crawl away and die a horrible death. That's what happened to a rabbit that Sam caught. Mom was not happy then either. Mom said dad should have let me go ahead and eat it, so it wouldn't have to suffer some poor agonizing death just like the rabbit. But, the more she thought about it, the more she realized that wouldnt' be a good idea since it might have caused some sort of illness or another tapeworm or something like that. Then she was glad dad made me drop it. Dogonally, I still would have liked to eat it, since I was the supreme hunter who caught it!
Oh well, it was still a good outing anyway. And, best of all, I had a great time sniffing all the cool smells, and checking out all the deer poo along the trails we were following. I guess that makes up for the loss of my snack. And, I was admired by some people I came across along the way.
