Oops!

I would like to give my deepest, most sincere apologies to Indy for calling HIM a her. You see, my mom has a friend who had a cat whose name was Indy, and that Indy WAS a her. So, you can see where I made my mistake in assuming all those named Indy, must be a "her." I certainly won't make THAT mistake again!

This sort of thing happens to my step-brother Kona quite often too. Everyone thinks he's a girl. But, he does sort of look like a girl, and he is quite prissy.

People who see me usually think I'm a boy because I'm so big. At 115 pounds they look at me and say "wow, he's so big." Mom always points out that I'm a girl. So, I can certainly understand what it is like to be called the opposite sex, and it's no fun!

Well, back to napping. Just wanted to be sure to let my new friend know how sorry I am for my error in "assuming", cuz we all know what happens when you assume.......

I have to point out that I am a boy and my name is Kelsey. I think that's a girl's name. What do you think? Well, your mom named me, so can you ask her what that's all about?

Oh, by the way, a big woo wooooooo out to ya!

Hey Holly,

Don't worry about it - we have all made that sort of mistake at some time ! It doesn't matter - friends don't care about that sort of thing :-)

Hey Kelsey,

Kelsey Grammer, who is a BOY, and a famous actor, is the inspiration for your lovely name. Unfortunately, it's one of those gender neutral names, so it's sometimes hard to tell if it is a boy or girl. :-)

Oh, don't worry Holly! It's ok! Totally understandable since you knew a female Indy!

That's funny - I have met other Indy's, but they were all boys. I met a boy Standard Poodle named Indy a few weeks ago. And my dad's aunt and uncle have a boy cat named Indy.

No problem Holly, don't be embarassed!

Magnum here - Everyone knows I am a boy, but everyone thinks my brother, Bailey, is a girl because he's tall, slender, and graceful and everyone thinks my sister, Ananya, is a boy because she's big, stinky, and a klutz. Mama says she will make me those pumpkin treats. Yummmm.

I get mistaken for a boy all the time. I'm the leader, I wear the red power-collar, and have one of those "gender neutral" names like Holly said. Not a big deal - I rule no matter what!
