Abby's Big Adventure Part 2

Happy Friday everyone! Thank you for your patience in waiting an extra day, and I do apologize for not getting to this yesterday. Sometimes, mom just doesn't let me get to my duties. She's kind of lame!

Anyway, on to Abby's big adventure with dad! They soon set off from the scenic overlook. Here is Abby in dads car. You'll never guess where they went next!

It's dad's mom's house! She lives out in the middle of nowhere Nebraska on a farm. Seriously! There's nothing around except corn fields! This is where dad and his 9 siblings grew up. Yes, you read that correctly - NINE siblings!!! That is one huge litter! Holy cow!! (heehee, a little farm humor for you) Anyway, onward we go.

Abby was anxious to check out all the cool stuff.

Here she is with some old equipment.

Next, she's checking out some old fence posts and fencing wire. Dad was careful not to let her get tangled in the wire cuz he knows how much we all love to sniff new things!

Hmmmm.....I wonder what use to be in that old jar? I bet it was something tasty at one time!

Mom really liked this next picture. Abby is in front of the old barn. It's very cool and rustic looking!

Abby really wanted to check out what was behind the old sliding door. I can certainly guess why!

I bet there are some really cool critters in there that would be fun to chase!

Then, she's on her way to something else.

This looks as if it could be rather interesting.

Ooooohhh, I can only imagine the really cool smells! I wonder what sort of animals use to live behind that fence?

Off she goes again!

I think that's an old grain bin in the background. And, behind that? Yep, you guessed it. The cornfields! (minus the corn until it's planted, of course)

Wow! That's a really cool looking car there Abby! What mom? Oh, it's a tractor! That's what farmers use to drive around their farms and take care of their crops.

Here's a really cool picture of Abby by the tractor with the barn in the background. This is my personal favorite shot!

Chillin' by the tractor! It's been a long day for her! Even I would have needed a nap by now!

This pic is a little blurry, but she looks like she's happy to be headed home!

I do believe her eyes are getting a bit droopy.

Needless to say, she had such a busy day, she wasn't even hungry for dinner when she got home! (that would never happen to ME) She just wanted to pass out on her pillow and catch some Z's! I don't blame her!

Well, I hope you have all enjoyed reading about Abby's wonderful adventure with dad. I think it's great that she got a "one-on-one" day with dad! She definitely deserved it!

Have a wonderful day!

That barn makes for a good photo backdrop! Did Abby find any tasty morsels left behind by cows or horses?
