Playing

We like to play with our toys outside. Mostly we like to take them out there so mom has to walk around the yard and pick them all up to bring them back inside. (that's her job) Then we just take them back outside so she can do it again. It's pretty cool how we have her trained.

Anyway, here is a recent video of us playing both with and without our toys. Khady considers Samuel her giant toy too. More on that tomorrow.

Sorry about Kona. He's a very happy, barky boy these days! This is the sound mom wakes up to every morning when dad gets home from work. Well, after Khady's choir practice at 6 a.m. that is.

Why Samuel is a Dork

First of all......because I said so.

Second of all......because he let dad put one of our food bowls on his head, and didn't try to remove it!

And finally......because he just IS.

Giant Snow Cone

Happy Friday everyone! It's been a long, dreary, foggy, wet week. My beautiful snow is slowly melting. We are making the best of what we still have. The best thing is, we have a giant snow cone on the side of our shed!

As you will see below, me, Khady, and droopy boy Samuel, all found it quite tasty!

The best way to do it, is just take a BIG mouthful!

I make this look easy!

Khady is just beginning to taste the yummy snow cone!

Droopy is finally using his chompers correctly.

Khady is finally getting the hang of if when all of a sudden....

Dork boy puts his whole foot in the way!

I think I'll just lay here and enjoy my giant snow cone while it's still here.

They're Mine

So, there I was, hanging out in the snow, nicely hoarding a couple of my toys, when Samuel came over. I was pretty sure he wanted to take one of them. But, they're mine. He started to complain that I wasn't "playing" with them, so why couldn't he have one? What a whiner!

So, I decided to make it look good and play with the hedgehog. Here I am doing the death shake on it.

I'm so quick! Notice what a blur my head is!

He just looked at me, waiting for me to put it down and walk away so he could have it.

I think we all know, that just wasn't going to happen.

I didn't let him have either of them. Cuz they're mine. And, that's just the way it's gonna stay.

Helping

Hey every buddy! Khady Lynn here. One of the ways I like to help out around the house is by getting Abby to eat her food. You see, she is a very slow eater. Unlike Holly, who almost inhales her food, Abby can take up to an hour to slowly munch on her food. And, sometimes she gets some outside her bowl, and I can help her clean it up off the floor. Mom and dad both like it when I help, cuz they say Abby eats much quicker when I am there to monitor her.

Here is an example of me helping Abby eat.

Hmmmm, there seems to be a piece of food beside the bowl. I could help her with that.

Oh. I guess she might want it.

Maybe not. If I can just get a little closer, I might be able to snag it.

Hey, I'm just doing my part to help. I'm a very good puppy!

A Special Birthday

Today is Abby's 15th birthday!!! Yep, that's right, 15!!! She sure doesn't act like it. She's still very spunky and in very good health. She's kind of gimpy, cuz she's had surgery on both her knee's due to torn anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL), but she still has a bounce to her step when she gets excited and wants to play. She was mom's very first Siberian, and the reason she fell in love with the breed.

Here are some pics of Abby from a few days ago when she was out enjoying all the snow.

Happy birthday Abby!!! Enjoy your day!

We all hope you are around for a long time to come!!

More Fun Snow Pics

For your viewing entertainment, I thought I would post some more pics of us enjoying our snow. We're suppose to get 3-7 inches of more snow on Wednesday. Plus, temps are below zero, so it's totally our kind of weather!

Droopy (aka Samuel) and Khady.

Such an emptiness to those eyes. Must be reflective of his brains. Hawooo!! Dad is always saying he looks "stoned", but I've never seen a rock look that dorky.

Kona keeps getting fluffier and fluffier! He is loving the snow!

Snow is very tasty!

I'm thinking of my friend Zim of the Ao4 and trying to dig a snow fort!

Isn't my baby adorable?!

Here's Monty, with Khady's Husky head toy. I think he's in love with it, cuz he is always stealing it from her.

Up to my eyeballs in snow.

Stay warm everyone! Going to be well below zero here this week with highs in the single digits. Needless to say, the humans aren't as happy about it as we are!

Hangin' Out

I've spent a lot of time just hanging out in the snow for the last several days. Here are a few pictures to show you how I have been spending my time.

Me and Kona enjoying the fluffy coldness.

Me, Khady and Samuel.

Khady, invading my resting space.

Ahhhhh, so relaxing!

This feels soooo good!

I think there's something under this snow.

Snow snoofering.

This is truly the life for me!
