New Chewy's

We got some new chewy's. Apparently the little rawhide chips weren't lasting us (ok, ME) long enough to keep us busy. So, the humans got us some new ones.

Here I am chewing on the big "bone" type. Notice I have collected an extra that somepuppy wasn't smart enough to keep a paw on.

Here is a picture of Sam chewing on a big retriever roll. I stole it later too, but the human woman didn't get a picture of that!

On another note, we are going to get more snow!! They are predicting 4 to 8 inches!! The swamp is gone (for now) since the snow returned last weekend. We got 6.5 inches, but it has started to disappear already (that darn snow thief). However, now we will have more to replace it. Woooooo!! I will try to get some new snow pics for everypuppy.

How to feed a dog

The human woman happened to be reading my friend Indy's blog, and saw that he has allergies just like my sad, pathetic, whiney brother Samuel. On Indy's blog was a link for a website that sells some awesome dog food, including the kind Sam needs. Duck. So, she ordered some, and when it came, she mixed it in with Sam's Natural Balance Duck and Potato dry food, and he LOVES it!

He will eat almost all of it out of his bowl, but then when he gets toward the bottom, for whatever stupid reason, he won't eat the rest and just stares at mom. So, she knows what needs to happen next....(Lord, he's so pathetic, but boy does he have mom well trained)

This is a wonderful example of how Sam finishes his food. Mom feeds it to him like a BABY!

Could he BE any more pathetic?

My swamp

Just a week ago, I had all this beautiful white, fluffy snow. And now?

In place of my beautiful white, fluffy snow, is a gooey, muddy, sloppy swamp. Our patio has become a wading pool. The humans are not happy with all the mud and water. Especially since a good deal of it is ending up INSIDE the house.

Here I am, sadly observing my swamp from the comforts of my home.

We're suppose to get bunches of rain starting tonight. Then tomorrow we get more rain and then it turns to snow. The weather people actually said the word "blizzard"!! Boy am I all excited about that! They forecast 6-8 inches of snow. I can't wait!!

The sucky thing is that the swamp will then become an ice skating rink with snow on top of it. Could be interesting.

Where is the cold?

It was 54 degrees here yesterday. Today it is suppose to be 45.

Needless to say, the snow thief has now taken ALL my beautiful snow! :-(

What I am left with is a muddy swamp. The humans are not happy. Sam got the cream colored bathroom rugs all decorated with his muddy paw prints. The kitchen floor and light colored area rug look very similar to the bathroom rug. Best part is, it's only going to get worse. Rain Friday and Saturday, snow/rain Sunday.

The backyard swamp will soon be a backyard pool. How fun!

I'll try and swipe the camera from the human woman and get some swamp photos.

My lazy day

This is what I did today. I napped on the couch.

It was 40 degrees here today. Two days ago, it was ZERO!! I think the Canadians have taken their cold back.

Anyway, I did some napping outside in addition to my couch time, however, I should have been outside MORE cuz somehow the snow thief came and took some of my snow! He is VERY sneaky. How did he know when we weren't out there so he could take our snow? He is very good, I'll give him that. However, he better hope I don't ever catch him, cuz it won't be pretty if I do!

Mom is home Monday from work cuz she gets the day off. Unfortunately, dad had to work Sunday night, so mom will have to be quiet cuz he will be sleeping. She also helps us keep quiet too. Well, not "us" so much as SAM and MONTY. They like to hang out outside and bark at stuff.

Me? I'll be sleeping somewhere comfy.

An awesome blog

My wonderful friends, the Army of Four, have been nominated for the February Awesome Blog Award!
Now, I'm sure you all know how deeply I feel for a certain member of the Ao4, so of course I am posting this message to help get the word out.

I also want to say that my good friend Fufu is also nominated. I am torn. On one hand I have a vested interest in my darling Dave, and on the other hand, is my good friend Fufu.
Maybe I will abstain from voting, so I do not have to choose. Oh, the mental torment!

Anyway, please be sure to visit the DWB website to vote for YOUR favorite blog!!

One to roll your eyes at

Three handsome male dogs are walking down the street when they see a beautiful, enticing, female Malamute.

The three male dogs fall all over themselves in an effort to be the one to reach her first, but end up arriving in front of her at the same time. The males are speechless before her beauty, slobbering on themselves and hoping for just a glance from her in return.

Aware of her charms and her obvious effect on the three suitors, she decides to be kind and tells them, "The first one who can use the words 'liver' and 'cheese' together in an imaginative, intelligent sentence can go out with me."

The sturdy, muscular black Lab speaks up quickly and says, "I love liver and cheese."

"Oh, how childish," said the Malamute. "That shows no imagination or intelligence whatsoever."

She turns to the tall, shiny Golden Retriever and says "How well can you do?"

"Um. I HATE liver and cheese," blurts the Golden Retriever.

"My, my," said the Malamute. "I guess it's hopeless. That's just as dumb as the Lab's sentence."

She then turns to the last of the three dogs and says, "How about you, little guy?"

The last of the three, tiny in stature but big in fame and finesse, is the Taco Bell Chihuahua. He gives her a smile, a sly wink, turns to the Golden Retriever and the Lab and says .

(ok this is good)

“Liver alone. Cheese mine."

Hawoowoowoo!! Sorry, couldn't resist!

For My Darling Dave......

Since it is Valentines Day, and that means it is a day for love, here is a poem (thank you Marvin) especially for my darling Dave of the Ao4. Ever since I saw those alluring blue eyes, and those adorable freckles on his nose, I have been totally smitten! I hope one day we can meet and I can look those beautiful blues, eye to eye! Plus, he has a VERY cool name!

"My freckled nose sweetheart, Dave is his name,

Prettiest eyes and of great Siberian Husky Fame!

He is just the sweetest Dog and I love him so true,

He is clever, because he writes such cool Haik-Woo.

Oh Dave, my dearest Husky, please say you will be mine,

This comes from me, Holly, your forever Valentine........!"

Happy Valentines Day to all my pup pals!!!

Our New Snow!

Well, here it is. For all those who do not get any snow, here are some pictures of our new snow. We got 4 inches.

Here is Samuel and Monty checking out the snow

Here I am eyeing Monty's chewy, which you can't see because it is covered with snow. Monty is wooing at me because he doesn't want me to take it.
Hey Monty, what's that over there?.......

He's such a dork. That works every time. See? It's MINE now! Haroooo!

And, because I know you all enjoyed Sam's previous videos, here is another for your viewing enjoyment. He LOVES to run, and especially in the snow. Since dad flaked out on us this morning, and did not take us for our walk, Sam had to let that Siberian energy out some way, so this is the result!

Well, hope you all enjoyed our snow pictures and video, as much as we are enjoying the snow itself! I know there are plenty of my pup pals out there that got some of the same snow, and some of them out east are gonna get LOTS of it! Have fun, and play hard!

Getting Snow!

We're getting snow tonight. Up to 6 inches they say! Unfortunately, it will be on top of a nice layer of ice. Oh goody. I hate ice.

I'll try and have dad take some pictures of us in the morning when he takes us for our walk. Steve and Kat have to live vicariously through those of us in the north, since they don't get any snow, so they want to see some pretty snow pictures! I'll see what I can do for you two!

From the Tv, I see my darling Dave and the Ao4 are getting some nasty weather too. I also think Tubey and D'Azul Sibes will get some fluffy stuff too! Some places south and east of me are going to get between 6 and 10 inches!!! Boy are THEY lucky!

Hopefully I will have some good photo's to post tomorrow night. Until then, here is one of me and Sam from our last snow (for Steve and Kat!)

Those lying weather people

They told us we were suppose to get snow today. We didn't. They also told us we are suppose to get snow tomorrow and Monday. We BETTER, or I'm gonna be highly annoyed. At least it's still nice and cold, thanks to the Canadians.

We're having a nice boring day. We did get our walk earlier today, and that was fun as always. Mom even came with us, which she hasn't done for a long time because of her foot problem, so that was nice.

I see on my calendar that Valentines Day is coming up. I need to start thinking of a way to be sure Dave is my valentine. He is just the cutest freckled nosed Siberian Husky I have ever seen. There are LOTS of very handsome Huskies out there, but none as dear to my heart as my darling Dave. Maybe I can try to come up with a nice poem for him like Marvin has for Miss Sunshade!

I better go sleep on it, and see what I can come up with!

They're laughing at me

The humans are so annoying. They keep laughing at me and it's not my fault. Technically, it's theirs.

Ok, here's the problem. I seem to have a somewhat sensitive tummy from the food they feed me, so I have a tendency to....umm......."pass gas" from time to time.

Loudly.

And, apparently, it's not a pleasant odor. And, even though Abby has MUCH more odorous gas than I do....... they only laugh at me.

And, like I said, it's all their fault! They feed me the nice, rich and healthy food, so they should be blaming themselves for my tummy issues, instead of just laughing at me! The human woman insists on feeding me food that is healthy and wholesome and does not contain any nasty by-products or harmful preservatives, so I get Blue Buffalo. I get the "Lite" dry, because of the whole "weight" issue, (which I won't even bother to go into because you all know how I feel about THAT) with 1/2 a can of the moist, and a can of green beans. But, since it is very high quality food, (with extra fiber from the green beans) in turn, I have some high quality emissions.

Worst part is, dad tries to blame ME when HE makes the same loud emissions! How fair is that!?!?

Personally, I don't see a problem with my gaseous issues. It's normal, it's part of life, and it just can't be helped sometimes. I mean, everyone does it, so what's the problem? Hey, better out than in I say!

Thank you Canadians

I would like to personally thank the Canadians for sending us all this wonderfully frigid weather. It' s been below zero at night, and single digits, or low teens during the day here.

I just love it! I lay outside in what's left of my snow, and just dream of running across the arctic tundra chasing cats. It's just heavenly!

This is a picture from a couple weeks ago, since most of my soft, fluffy snow is gone, but you get the idea. They say we might get more snow this week, so keep your paws crossed!! And I'll just keep dreaming.
